Job Description

Jet Air Group is an avionics and maintenance facility on the field at the Austin Straubel Airport in Green Bay, WI. We are expanding quickly and need qualified a qualified Avionics Technician.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repair, testing, installation and inspection of aircraft electronic equipment and systems, removal and assembly of aircraft interior and instrument panels, fabrication and testing of avionics systems wiring harnesses, Pitot-Static systems testing and repair, and maintaining repair station records and documents required.

  • Perform avionics installations and upgrades for a variety of aircraft to OEM and aircraft manufacturer specifications
  • Perform component levels repairs and re-certifications
  • Ensure the proper preservation and protection of all avionics articles during maintenance and storage; including incoming inspection and life limited parts as outlined in Repair Station Manual
  • Ensure that all forms initiated are completed in accordance with instructions located in Appendix A of the Repair Station Manual
  • Ensure all avionics shop equipment and tools are maintained and in good working order
  • Maintain work station in compliance with safety, fire, regulatory, and security requirements.


The ideal candidate for the Avionics Technician position must possess the following:

Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • College Degree or equivalent in aviation electronics or related subjects required
  • Previous experience with the following manufacturers preferred: Garmin, Avidyne, PS Engineering, JPI Instruments, S-Tec, and Bendix/King
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and schematics
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills and above average computer skills and proficiency.
  • Ability to wear all required safety equipment; to walk/sit/climb/crawl/twist/bend/gain entry to/work in confined areas; and to work from stands and ladders
  • Must be able to lift at least 70 lbs and be able to perform moderately strenuous physical tasks which include bending, stooping, kneeling and working overhead for long periods of time

Aircraft Mechanic

We are seeking a positive, detail oriented, experienced, and committed individual for an immediate opening as an Aircraft Mechanic.

Job Description:

To inspect, repair, and service all aircraft directed by the repair station manager or designee on scheduled and unscheduled aircraft.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete and inspect work to ensure that maintenance meets company and industry standards.
  • Conduct routine and special inspections as required by regulations.
  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals and FAA/manufacturer publications and directives to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Maintain all licenses as appropriate.
  • Take direction of jobs performed.
  • Assist other mechanics when needed.
  • Obey all safety regulations and requirements.


  • Airframe and Powerplant license desired but not required
  • Aircraft Mechanic experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Pre-employment drug test
  • Able to lift or pull objects up to 70 lbs
  • Able to climb ladders and work on top of wings
  • Pass back ground checks as prescribed by the airport and TSA
  • Random drug testing as requires by FAA repair station manual
  • Able to work in confined spaces
  • Pay is based upon experience
